SARAWAK RUBBER SMALLHOLDERS GET IPG PAYMENTS FOR JUNE 2024 PRODUCTION

The Rubber Production Incentive (IPG) for smallholders has been activated for Sarawak from 1st to 31st July, 2024, based on the rubber production in June 2024.

In a statement, the Malaysia Rubber Board (MRB) said the average farmgate price for cuplump was RM2.95 per kilogramme (kg) for Sarawak.

The IPG rate is 5.0 sen per kg for 50% dry rubber content (DRC) and 10 sen per kg for 100% DRC.

The Rubber Production Incentive (IPG) will be activated if the average monthly farmgate price for cuplump rubber is at RM3.00 per kg or below.

The MRB said the IPG for latex will be activated when cuplump's IPG is activated, adding that the IPG rate is fixed at 90 sen per kilogramme for latex with 100% DRC.

MRB said there are no IPG payments for smallholders in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah.

Last month, the average farmgate prices for cuplump for Peninsular Malaysia was RM3.55 per kg and Sabah at RM3.10 per kg.
